MGI - Department for Mechanization of Crop Production - Accredited Laboratory Examination for Energetics
Activities of the Department for Bioenergy are not only the research but also investigations of biofuels and combustion models which are under development or prior to the introduction to the market. For these processes the Bioenergy Department has a certified Energy Laboratory Examination for Energetics accredited according to the ISO/IEC 17025. By this accreditation the Laboratory is a member of the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC). The Laboratory stands on two pillars. One is the solid biofuel examination and analytical division where the most relevant energetic parameters are investigated e.g.: calorific value, ash content, moisture content, C-H-N-S-Cl content, ash melting features. The other pillar is the solid biofuel operated furnace examination area. This division focuses on the environmental pollution parameters of flue gas (CO, SO2, NOx emission, dust emission – PM10) and the investigation of performance and efficiency of boilers. About the measuring protocols and calculations reports are prepared for the customers.
